Tree Planting Ceremony

Elks Past Exalted Ruler Deb Knight along with other Elks Ohana blessed us with a Wiliwili tree for future shade up at Winners’ Camp Kamehame Retreat Site!
All the Campers and Leaders of Spring Break 2016 participated in the ceremony by digging the hole for Puiwa (the tree’s given name) and throwing a scoop of dirt over her roots.  A pule (prayer) was read and we will all enjoy witnessing Puiwa growing up over the future years! Mahalo to all our Honolulu Elks Lodge 616 supporters and our Spring Break 2016 Graduates; let us know when your seeds sprout!
A shout out to Gloria for the pines we will be planting in the future!
A hui hou, Malama pono!  -Delorese Gregoire, Founding Director
